Ultimate Knitting Resource Guide - The universe of knitting resources available to both first-timers and experienced knitters continues to expand each year. While knitting basic baby booties and scarves is still popular, more ambitious and creative knitting projects have also become popular with people knitting everything from purses, stuffed animals and funky hats. Some people find knitting relaxing and use it as a way to unwind after a stressful day at work, while others see it as a practical way to express their creativity and create items for themselves and gifts to give to friends and family members. Knitty - For the men who shave their heads for chemo, here's a "bald-friendly" hat from Jesse Loesberg: It does have a small, rolled edge...it was designed and created by a guy. He used a yarn containing merino wool, microfiber, and cashmere because he needed a mid-weight hat to wear around San Francisco. If that's too warm for summer, maybe there is a soft cotton yarn (microfiber would be great).
Alpacas of Foster Knoll - The primary goal of our farm will be to concentrate on bloodlines, confirmation and fiber quality. We believe that staying focused on quality breedings to produce the best possible fiber is going to be the way of the future in this industry and the better your fiber quality, the more return on your investment you will receive.
